New EDI Contact Center Training Schedule

For All Submitters

EDI Support Services (EDISS) will be transitioning to a new training schedule on Friday, August 11, 2017. Previously, EDISS was closed for training every Wednesday. An updated training and holiday closure schedule for the EDISS Help Desk can be found by visiting www.edissweb.com, select your state and select See Training Closure Schedule at the bottom of the page.


Iowa Medicaid Web Portal Requirements

For Direct Iowa Medicaid Submitters

The Iowa Medicaid Web Portal provides a means for Iowa Medicaid Direct Submitters and Billing Groups to conduct electronic transactions with EDISS via the internet for batch or real-time.  This portal is intended only for direct providers and cannot be utilized by vendors or billing services.

EDISS also requires Additional Access users to register for their own unique Web Portal User IDs.  Users calling for password resets or login assistance that are sharing WP User IDs will be asked to submit a new registration and wait for their new login credentials.  The Additional Access Registration form can be found here: http://www.edissweb.com/med/registration/.


Calling the Correct Support Number for a Line of Business
For All Submitters

EDISS provides support for many lines of businessp. It is an EDISS expectation and CMS requirement that appropriate phone numbers are utilized based on a submitter’s region and line of business.  Contacting the EDI Contact Center at an incorrect phone number will result in the caller being asked to disconnect and call back using the correct one. Correct contact information for each state and line of business can be found at the bottom of this email and at the Contact EDISS page of www.edissweb.com.  States that do not appear on either of these lists can click on the link titled “Provider Call Center Toll Free Numbers Directory” found at the bottom of the www.edissweb.com website.


Updating Transactions in EDISS Connect
For All Submitters

Existing trading partners wishing to update transactions in EDISS Connect, (Examples: selecting a new Clearinghouse or Billing Service or transitioning to direct submission) can do so by logging into their EDISS Connect account and clicking “Manage Transactions” and selecting the NPI.  This will display the current EDI enrollment status and is where any updates can be made.

NOTE: 837 transactions allow up to two trading partners to be selected, all other transactions allow one.
