EDI Support Services (EDISS) experienced a processing issue through the new gateway that impacted 837 claim files submitted on 04/17/2017 starting at 10:30 pm (CST) to 04/18/2017 8:40 am (CST). If you did not receive reports for files submitted during this time frame, please resubmit the files. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Report and Remittance Advice Delay

EDI Support Services (EDISS) has identified a small subset of 999, 277CA Acknowledgement Reports and Remittance Advices from March 2, 2017, through March 3, 2017, did not successfully deliver to submitter mailboxes in the new Gateway. A follow-up email will be sent once the delivery issue has been resolved.

Update: New Gateway Intermittent Connectivity

EDISS implemented updates on December 18, 2016, to the new Gateway system to correct issues that are currently being experienced by Submitters. We are still seeing intermittent connectivity issues and are continuing to problem-solve and work toward a resolution.

EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may be causing and will provide an update once the system connectivity issues have been fully resolved.

Legacy Gateway Dial-Up Availability

The EDI Support Services (EDISS) legacy Gateway is currently experiencing functionality issues when connecting via modem. Submitters uploading electronic files since December 18, 2016, are receiving errors on the TRNACK report. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may be causing and will provide an update once the system functionality is restored.

Update: Remittance Advice and Report Processing Issue

EDI Support Services (EDISS) discovered a processing issue impacting 999, 277CA Acknowledgement reports and Remittance Advice delivery. Impacted reports and remits did not successfully deliver to submitter mailboxes in the new Gateway from November 23, 2016, to December 1, 2016.

A remediation plan is in place and currently underway to address this processing issue. An update will be sent on Monday, December 7, 2016. At this time there is no Submitter action required.

Duplicate File Processing
For All Legacy Gateway Submitters

EDI Support Services (EDISS) experienced a processing delay in the Legacy Gateway on November 21, 2016, which impacted a small subset of files. Due to this delay, the small subset of affected files were processed twice and will receive duplicate reports. EDISS encourages Submitters to be observant of the files that receive duplicate reports and ensure that they process correctly with the payer. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

EDI Support Services (EDISS) is currently experiencing isolated occurrences of duplicate reports/remittance advices within the New EDISS Gateway. Important information to be aware of:

• Duplicate reports in the new gateway mailbox may contain a '#' in the outbound filename.
• Submitters are encouraged to disregard any duplicate reports and avoid double posting of 835s.

We are continuing to research the cause of the duplication and apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. A follow-up email will be sent when additional information is available.

Processing Delay
For All New Gateway Submitters

EDI Support Services (EDISS) experienced a processing delay through the new gateway that impacted 837 claim files submitted on 09/19/2016 starting at 6:00 pm (CST) through 9/20/16. This caused a delay in TA1, 999 and 277CA report delivery. This issue has been resolved, excluding a small subset of files that are still processing through our system and whose reports will deliver today.

For those Submitters who received their reports already, below are a few important notes:

• Files were duplicated for a period of time right before the outage. This caused a subset of files to receive duplicate rejections.
• For a subset of files that were reprocessed, EDISS was unable to capture original filenames. Due to this, new filenames were generated and will appear on the reports. The pattern used was "submitterID.sequencenumber". For example, CH99999.4445.

A follow-up email will be sent once all files have been processed.

Multiple Remittance Advice Delivered

The Remittance Advice for Blue Shield of ND and WY from May 15, 2016, were delivered multiple times. EDI Support Services (EDISS) strongly encourages those that have not picked up their remittances to hold off until the duplicates can be deleted by EDISS. For those that have picked up their remittances, multiple copies will appear in your mailbox and we strongly encourage deleting the duplicates to avoid double postings. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Translating Error Related to the GS06 on 837 Claim Submission Files

EDI Support Services (EDISS) is experiencing a translation error which is impacting files that were submitted starting on February 14, 2016 through current. Due to this error, the value submitted in the GS06 on an 837 file is being defaulted to 1 when translated for processing. The defaulted value of 1 will be indicated on the 999 in the AK102 and also on the 277CA in the GS06 value.

We have notified our vendor and are working closely with them to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. A follow-up email will be sent when the issue is resolved.

2015

Processing Delay

EDI Support Services (EDISS) experienced a processing delay impacting files that were submitted on 11/16/2015, starting at 6:00 pm to 11/17/15, at 1:00 am. During this timeframe we were not able to collect or process files. Any files that were already in process will see a delay in report delivery. Any duplicate reports received, may be disregarded. A follow-up email will be sent once we have delivered all delayed reports.

277CA Rejection

EDI Support Services (EDISS) had been experiencing a higher than average 277CA rejection rate for files submitted on or after September 29, 2015. The impacted files were receiving an A8:562:128:85 rejection. This issue has been resolved and providers that were impacted can now resubmit their files.
